‘A photographic journey investigating recycled clothes in India’
held at the Horniman Museum, London.
Curated by Lucy Norris (the anthropologist) and Tim Mitchell (the photographer).
‘This fascinating photographic exhibition followed the journey of clothes donated to UK charity shops as they are recycled and re-sold in the bustling markets of northern India, as well as the contrasting flow of Indian saris and textiles recycled as western fashion items.’
24 May 2008 until 25 January 2009.
The project was supported by a British Academy Small Research Grant (SG-38685).
